I chose seascapes to express my feelings of absence and aloneness. This was a cathartic experience for me and has in part started some release or liberation from the loss of my immediate family.
All the images, captured from Brighton along the bay to Sorrento, are of the special spots we frequented as a family from my earliest childhood memories. The only image that does not show the sea, is a secret place in the sand dunes behind the beach boxes.
Slow shutter speeds, soft focus and intentional camera movement have been used to create the imagery to express memory.
